Heather Burgess serves as the Underwriting Manager for the National League of Cities (NLC) Mutual Insurance Company, a national public entity reinsurer with members in 28 states. In addition to property, liability, and workers compensation, her areas of subject matter expertise include cyber and emerging technologies. She has held multiple roles within the organization prior to underwriting, including in risk management through the NLC - Risk Information Sharing Consortium (NLC-RISC) program.
Prior to joining NLC in 2016, her professional background was in databasing and statistical analysis. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the College of William and Mary.
